Before celebrating, let's learn more about St. Patrick's Day...

πŸ€ St. Patrick's Day is a global celebration of Irish culture. In particular, it is in remembrance of  Saint Patrick, one of Ireland's patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century.

πŸ€ We wear green to honor the large, green flag that the Bishops carried in battle. The flag was thought to be green because the rebellion was led by Catholic Bishops who were representing not only the sovereignty of their land, but who were also serving as protectors of their faith.

πŸ€ The shamrock, pot-of-gold and leprechauns are also associated with St. Patrick’s Day. The shamrock was worn as a badge on the lapel. Three is Ireland’s magic number and the three petals that make up the shamrock are supposed to bring good luck. The three leaves also represent the Trinity in the Christian religion.
